Does It Meet Code?

I’m working on this environmental signage project. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s also a lot of work. I’ve spent the lion’s share of the time developing evacuation maps and other “code” stuff. But still, there’s some cool and fun stuff. For the main building identification, we’re looking at this 3M film that you can print on and then apply to uneven surfaces (brick, concrete, whatever) with a heat gun. It looks awesome.
This is a mockup of how those might work:
And even though the evacuation maps are a total pain the ass, there’s still opportunity for fun info-design-ness and icons and such. This is my icon for fire extinguishers:

hahah your fire extinguisher looks like he should have a speech bubble coming off “RUN FROM THE FLAME”… its nice though, the little bit with the loop (in white) adds something.
I like the adress signage too… are you working with other colors?

I know! It keeps wanting to look like a dude from MST3K, but at smaller sizes it’s not so crazy.
Colors?
Although there are some brick buildings, most of them are stucco and painted a variety of olive and yellow-greens (colors taken from park next door). The color scheme is basically 6 shades of green, a brown and a cream. We’re not sure how much the lines of the brick will affect the colors, so we’re going to do some tests and adjust accordingly.
The cream is the base color and most of the signage will be against that. The door signage (unit numbers) will be really cool, too, likely using colored films on the doors, which have a glass cutout. I’ll post more pictures later.
